Feathers and Fiddleheads

In October, we were thrilled to be part of a wedding at La Bam in Midtown Atlanta. We did one of our first events there years ago, so it was nice to come full circle and do a wedding there this year.

And what a wedding it was....

This wedding felt so high fashion. 

First, look at our bride... 

Does that not look like a picture in a magazine?

And as I mentioned, the wedding was at La Bam, which is such a different, fashionable location. 

With such an elegant event, we needed to create an incredible bouquet. Staci's bouquet featured white dendrobium orchids, magenta dendrobium orchids, blue delphinium, white asian lilies, amaranthus ponytails, fiddlehead ferns and peacock feathers.

Ashley + Jason

Go Norcross High!!

This is the third wedding I have done for a Norcross High School Teacher! I really think we may have to move so our kids can go to Norcross High! 

Sweet Ashley met us through Robyn, one of our July 2009 brides. At first, Ashley was unsure of the vision for her flowers, but after talking about what she was looking for, I think we came up with something gorgeous!  Her bouquet consisted of pink calla lilies, white calla lilies,  white roses, white lisianthus, white freesia and pussy willow. We wrapped the bouquet with ivory ribbon and adorned it with some jewels that were actually cut off of the bride's dress! 

I am a huge fan of their photographer, Nadia D. Aren't these photos darling? 

The bridesmaids included purple lisianthus and purple tea roses, in addition to pink calla lilies, pink lisianthus, white roses, white calla lilies and pussy willow. 

Ashley and Jason celebrated their union in downtown Lawrenceville, one of my favorite towns! 

There reception was at the adorable Historic Lawrenceville Courthouse. The courthouse has this little outdoor balcony, where Ashley tossed her bouquet to some hopeful bride-to-be! 

I especially loved the centerpieces we did for this wedding! I don't have any pictures of them yet, but if I do get them, I will post them in a future post!

Most wonderful time of the year...

After doing 11 weddings in 6 weeks (mid September - October), my wedding season came to an end. While I love love love doing wedding flowers, I am enjoying my time off to fully indulge in the holidays and spend time with my little ones! Right now, I am fully consumed with putting together our Christmas card! 

You may remember our card from last year:

Like last year, we had Janet from Janet Howard Studio take our pictures... and they turned out INCREDIBLE!  The front of our card this year is complete, but I am having a tough time choosing the pictures for the back of our card this year... there are too many wonderful shots to choose from. 

As soon as I finish the card (this week!), I will post our final card for 2010. 

I also plan on posting a couple wedding this week, so stay tuned.... 

and enjoy all the wonder of the holidays.

Catherine + Frank

In September, we were part of a gorgeous and classic wedding. Our brilliant and beautiful bride, Catherine, was so delightful! She knew exactly what she wanted...

Tulips. 

I was a little worried about getting white tulips in September, but somehow, my flower gal came through, and our lovely Catherine was able to carry white tulips down the aisle. Her bouquet consisted of white tulips, white roses, white spray roses, white calla lilies and green hypericum berries. The bouquet was wrapped with ivory ribbon with some pewter ribbon detail and a rhinestone buckle. 

Here is Catherine and her handsome groom, Frank. 

I love this picture... just a little peek of Catherine getting ready to enter the church. Catherine and Frank were married at Briarcliff United Methodist Church in Atlanta. 

I know I have mentioned this before, but I am always anxious to see the pictures of our weddings!  I am always so excited to find pictures of the bride and groom... and of course, the bouquet! This was the first time I was really taken with boutonniere pictures! Catherine and Frank's photographers, Anna and Spencer Photography (www.annaandspencer.com) shot these boutonnieres like they were pieces of art! 

Look at this!!! I love this picture! 

For the aisle, we did small nosegays of white hydrangeas, roses and mums with satin pewter ribbon. 

I just had to share this picture... love it!
