Featured: Southern Weddings

Some of you may remember a little photo shoot we were part of years ago that was themed around The Wizard of Oz.  It included some AMAZING vendors, such as Melissa Schollaert, and it just so happened to be published on Martha Stewart's blog. The adorable couple, Erin and Michael, from that shoot were a real couple and were really engaged.

When it came time for them to book their florist, how lucky was I to be asked to do their flowers??

Real lucky.

Not only did were we able to do the wedding flowers, my husband and I were invited to the amazing Alabama wedding, which was on Erin's parents' personal property. The entire wedding, my husband and I kept looking at each other and saying "I feel like I am in a movie.... this is just so perfect".

Their wedding was perfect. So perfect that Southern Weddings Magazine (one of my favorites!!) just featured it in their latest copy.

Of course, the amazing photography is by my sweet talented friend Melissa Schollaert.

Prepare to swoon.

Don't you love those red poppies? They were everywhere.... I can't wait to share more images!!!

Erin and Michael had several dressers and vanities around the property, and we filled the drawers with blooms.

On a separate note, Erin and Michael are also the talented owners of hi note, a full service design and production company based in Atlanta. Their work is incredible, and they created so many of the spectacular details for their wedding. Check out their blog post here

I also stole the full list of their wedding vendors from their blog

What can I say about this AMAZING SPREAD????

I believe in signs. When the talented Lauren Weems, a Kansas girl who now lives in California and owns Adorned Event Design, asked me to be part of a shoot that would be photographed by Chelsea Mitchell, another Kansas girl that now resides in California, I thought it was a sign. (I was raised in Kansas and met my sweet husband there).

Then she told me that the concept was inspired by Holland artist, Johannes Vermeer. I also happen to have a fondness of Holland after a trip there ten years ago....

It seemed like I was destined to be part of this shoot.

All the vendors were amazing. The photography is spectacular.

The icing on the cake?
This spread is currently featured in the Wedding Nouveau Holiday 2012 issue

Yes. I believe in signs.

Carlton + Ansley

As per usual, I am WAY behind on my blogging.

(I think I say I need to get better about blogging on every post... sorry you are reading it again).

The wedding I am sharing with you today has been seen all over the blogosphere.... but I haven't yet posted it on my blog! It is the sweet wedding of Carlton and Ansley!

This sweet couple had the most amazing and glamourous wedding at Specht Farms. Between Simply Charming Socials and Ashley Pepitone Design, the farm was totally transformed. We loved having our florals as part of the design!

Of course, The Reason (Chris+Allie) did an amazing job capturing all these details!! Their work is truly amazing, and their video of the event is breathtaking. I still watch it all the time.

See for yourself!

And the video..... amazing.  See it here

Photoshoot: Rustic Glamour at Vinewood

Last spring, Lemiga Events asked us to be part of a gorgeous shoot at Vinewood, an absolute stunning venue for weddings and events in Newnan, Georgia. I love how romantic this shoot turned out.... and it gave Birch Blooms a chance to create more than just flowers! For example, we made the Mr. and Mrs. pillows seen in the photo above!

Escort cards 'pinned' to an old vintage door.
Birch Blooms designed the clothespins!

Gorgeous cake created by Sweet Sensations

The cake stand is from my own kitchen!

Michelle from Lemiga and I created a chandelier from vintage vases and globes filled with flowers and candles all suspended from pale pink satin ribbon and twine.

Is this not a gorgeous ceremony site!
Amazing!!

Vinewood Weddings and Events has pews on hand for ceremony seating! I love these old church pews. The pews were made a little more comfy with pillows by Birch Blooms Floral + Design.

Another pillow created by Birch Blooms Floral + Design.

Along the ceremony aisle were these giant stumps where we added vintage style lanterns or small vases of flowers.

All the lovely dresses were provided by Chaviano Couture.

Rentals, like this fabulous blue chair, came from Something Borrowed

All the lovely photography was by Mynx Studio.

Want to see more and fall madly in love with Vinewood Weddings and Events?
Be sure to attend their open house on April 22nd.
You can view the invitation and RSVP here.
