As a person who creates temporary art out of florals for my sweet brides, I consider myself creative and artistic. I always loved to draw and took great pride in my creations. I look forward to seeing pictures of my floral designs from the wonderful photographers out there.
Tonight, my family was invited to an exhibition for our county. A selection of art from all the elementary schools, middle schools and high schools were chosen to be part of this exhibit. From the elementary school my children attend, 18 works of art were chosen to be part of this exhibit from over 1,000 students.
TWO of my children had art featured.... yes, those two sweet boys above took pride in some art class assignment and their hard work is now being appreciated by many.
I feel so blessed to do the job I get to do. I love creating floral arrangements, but being a mom is the most amazing job ever.
My sweet children are my most favorite creation.
Thanks for letting me share a bit of sweetness from my life!
And stay tuned... I am currently downloading images from the talented photography team at Paper Lily. They captured some AMAZING images of Emily and Jonathan's wedding back in October.
Jeanne and Matt were married on December 15th, and while they were married during the holidays, they didn't want it to dictate the design of their wedding. While keeping their color scheme contained to creams, whites, silver and golds, Jeanne was able to incorporate some Christmas inspiration, such as ornaments, while keeping it glamourous and elegant.
Jeanne's classic bouquet of roses, calla lilies and berries wrapped in white lace.
Jeanne's maids carried simple nosegays of cream berries.
I love this image of all the bridesmaids' bouquets in this basket!
Today, our wedding season officially starts! Our first bride of the year is getting married today at a sweet little courthouse wedding! I just love those!
Tomorrow, we have a big farm wedding, and I can't wait to post the pictures from this wedding. All the details will be so rustic, yet so glamourous!
While our wedding season just officially started today, we have been busy with other floral projects!
First, my sweet friend, Elise, had her fifth baby in February, and my dear friend, Karen, threw the sweetest shower for her. We, of course, provided the florals!
Poppy Jane was born on February 13th. This gorgeous cake was created by the super talented Eileen Carter.
Love this little wishing tree! Each guest could write a message on a little paper 'poppy' and then hang it on the tree.
After that, my twin kindergarteners had Community Week at their school. During Community Week, each kid got to pick a job at one of the businesses to work at, and while they weren't working, they had money to go shopping. My sweet boy chose to work at the Disco, and my lovely daughter chose to work at the flower shop! We provided the bright daisies.

The disco employees!

Stay tuned as we post all the fabulous weddings we are blessed to be part of in 2013!
Today, I had a meeting with Kristine from Simply Charming Socials, and besides the fact that it was such a fun meeting in their gorgeous new space (Studio 1658), it reminded me of a wedding I worked on with Simply Charming Socials that I never posted on the blog. It was one of my favorites!!! I don't know how it didn't get on here, but none the less, I am posting it now!
I'm just on my phone at the airport, but I just HAD to contact you and THANK YOU SO SO SO MUCH for the outstanding job you did with all the flowers and centerpeices at our wedding yesterday!! I cannot express to you how grateful I am and how much your hard work meant to me!! Everything was better than ever imagined! I will make sure everyone I know uses you in the future. Thank you so much!!!
